Technique

When we speak of aesthetic dentistry today, we have in mind a reconstruction of beautiful and natural looking teeth that restore the patient's individual characteristics. Aesthetic denture means the ratio and the regularity of the proportions in form, size and color. To study and reconstruct these harmonious interactions of aesthetics is always a great challenge.
However, not only individual teeth, but also the age-appropriate complexity of aesthetics and function, related to each individual patient, are our daily motivation. We want to arouse the needs and wishes of the patient as well as illuminate possibilities and limits.
Thanks to modern, scientifically based treatment methods, such as minimally invasive and adhesive techniques as well as implant-supported reconstructions, the best possible reconstruction option is found in every case. Our dentists' treatment concept is based on a systematic and interdisciplinary approach.

Digital

With digital technology the spatial distance to the dental practice also loses its importance, since the data (scans, design data) can easily be transmitted digitally. Consultative communication with the patient can take place directly to the treatment chair via a conference call if required.
Digital technologies are becoming increasingly important in the field of dental medicine and technology. While at the very beginning only a few areas could be digitally developed, we now offer complete digital care concepts: starting with a virtual planning with an aesthetic try-in via navigated implantology up to complete dental restorations. A great advantage is the precise planning and reproducible implementation, in which the patient and his wishes are always in the main focus.
Thanks to modern technologies, we have a variety of materials to choose from, which we can implement in subtractive as well as additive manufacturing technology. Our supreme interest for each individual patient case is to get the optimum in the area of ​​aesthetics and function as well as in the terms of price.

The dental technician only has a maximum of 0.8-1mm veneering thickness to obtain the same effect. With this minimal space the aim is now to optimize color and lighting effects and control them in their intensity.

The Triple Layering Technique (TLT©)

When you look at natural teeth, you quickly realize that nature can revert to a much larger volume to achieve tooth color and age-related effects. The dental technician only has a maximum of 0.8-1mm veneering thickness to obtain the same effect. With this minimal space the aim is now to optimize color and lighting effects and control them in their intensity.

In the TLT© the structure of the veneers is divided into three layers. The first layer is responsible for base color and brightness. In the second layer, the individual effects are stacked or painted by Stains characterization firing. The third layer completes the morphology. In this case, additional depth is generated with transparent materials, but at the same time the shade of the veneer can also be adapted individually

Thanks to modern framework materials such as mulitlayer zirconia, the success can be further optimized while maintaining individuality when using the TLT©.

During the early years of my dental career, I developed this simple and reproducible veneering technique. It was important for me to familiarize myself with the veneering materials used in the different laboratories in a very short time while wandering from one lab to another. To achieve individual aesthetics but reproducible results. the TLT© has proven itself in every situation and has meanwhile become more and more established as a generally applicable concept. The technique has already been published in numerous journals and is also popular with many of my students.
